Introduction
This blog will consist of entries regarding the IDS 101 course "Power and Privilege in Cinema" where I hope to explore gender, race, class, (dis)ability, and sexual orientation in media.
I saw this movie when I was 8 or 9 years old. This movie was very different from other Disney's movie. No princess, No price charming. When I was a little, this movie was boring. At that time, I liked just typical Disney's movie which show beautiful princess. Mulan looked like a man an brave, but it was very unusual. However, recently , I saw this movie again, and I kind of have same opinion with you. Sometime, she saved her life because of her sexality. Her sexality was described kind of her secret weapon. However, she was a very brave unlikely other princess. She can save her life by alon not depend on man. She is independent person. I think that she is an perfect idol for modern society.
